The State Levels Championships were held at Rooty Hill on Saturday 27th August. It was the first time this event has been held since 2019, due to Covid. The State Levels Competition is for athletes from level 1 to level 7, to qualify athletes compete at our club competition, a regional competition and the state trial.
At KSTP we value this event pathway and place as much emphasis on team building, with 35 athletes across many programs coming together.
Competing in tumbling trampoline, single mini trampoline and double mini trampoline, athletes in Levels 1 – 3 were awarded medals based on banding scores and Levels 4 – 7 were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals along with ribbons up to 6th place.
While athletes compete individually, points are accumulated for each 1 – 6 placing, with the great work from all 35 athletes we were announced as the Overall Club Champions for 2022, making this competition a true team event in which all gymnasts can share in the glory of being the best finishing club at this event in all of NSW.
Except for a two year break due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, this year makes it 6 years in a row that we’ve won Club Champions so congratulations to all involved.
