Kachan School of Tumbling & Performance (KSTP) were very happy to have 27 local gymnasts from our club on the NSW state trampoline and tumbling team, who competed at the Australian Gymnastics Championships on the Gold Coast from the 15th– the 21st of May.
Our gymnasts aged from 8 years old right up to 24 years old were among the best of the best across the country, competing in tumbling and double mini trampoline (dmt)
In the National levels categories we had 12 club representatives and in the International categories we have 15 club representatives. For the international levels gymnasts this competition was the first selection event for the Trampoline World Age Group and World Championships, which are to be held at the end of this year in Birmingham, UK.
Our overall medal tally as a club was very impressive;
8 gold medalists and National titles, 8 silver medalists and 6 bronze medalists.
We also had gymnasts across 4 team events;
Tumbling team women- Gold, who were all our gymnasts.
Tumbling team men- Gold
Dmt team women- Silver
Dmt team men- bronze.
These results amongst others saw NSW claim victory as the Overall winners ahead of all other states.
As well as these outstanding results, we received the following 2022 National Trampoline Gym sport awards from Gymnastics Australia;
- Alexsa Kachan (12)- Junior female gymnast of the year. (stand out results include becoming the 2022 National Dmt & Tumbling Champion and the 2022 11/12 Tumbling World Champion BUL)

These amazing results among several other medalists across the year saw KSTP awarded the 2022 Trampoline Gymsport Coaching Team of the Year.
As small family run gym club, who have been operating out of the community complex at the Windsor District Baptist Church since 2011, this type of National recognition means so much. We may not look like a fancy gym, not to we have large numbers, but our gymnasts along with their families are committed to this sport and work so hard. As club owners and family of four children, we could not be happier for our entire KSTP community.
We wish to congratulate our gymnasts and their families, along with our coaching staff on such amazing work and results.
